About us
Sandy Shores Decor is owned and operated by two women, MaryEllen Sinatra and Beth Webber. Their partnership began in a Atlantic coastal town on Massachusetts’ South Shore, where both women participated in an artisan co-op. MaryEllen, a lifelong artist, sold her catering business and turned her “retirement” into a renaissance. With the help of her daughter, Jodi, a graphic designer they created bags, cards, wrapped canvases and more featuring MaryEllen’s botanical drawings. Beth, also finding herself with time on her hands, combined a love of home-decorating with the many years spent sewing alongside her mother, an avid quilter and homemaker, to design and produce coastal home decor.

Both having raised families on the South Shore, never far from the picturesque beaches and seaside, they shared a love of the beach. MaryEllen and Beth would meet to walk and talk at low tide, a dog or two in tow, the miles passing easily as they chatted about their work. Like many of the best ideas, their business was born of women multitasking and on the go. Realizing that their individual best-selling items at the co-op could work well together and that their skills were complimentary, the two decided to try producing a nautically-themed tide clock and sell it as a joint venture.

From there, Sandy Shores Decor was born. It is the simple brainchild of two women with a passion for artistry, a drive for creativity and a commitment to quality.
